The CUNY Graduate Center is on the northeast corner of 5th Avenue and 34th Street. It is a short walk from Penn Station and a slightly longer walk from Grand Central. The B, D, F, Q, R, N trains stop one block to the west, and the 4-5-6 stop two blocks to the east.
To enter the building you will need to show a picture ID to the security guard in the lobby, who will sign you into the building. Tell the guard you are attending the conference "Music Finished and Unfinished" in room 9206 on, not surprisingly, the 9th floor.
LUNCH
The Graduate Center has a cafeteria on the 8th floor with reasonably priced food that is open to visitors. If you wish to go outside for lunch, there are myriad options in the blocks around the Graduate Center, especially strong on Korean choices (we are located in the heart of Koreatown).
